We had an outdoor toy in the early to mid 70’s. We called it the Merry Go Round. It had seats for 4 children on the ends of two cross bars with the seats facing the middle. It was operated by pumping the hand and foot rests in front of each seat, propelling all four seats (and kids) to spin in a circle. One child could ride it alone, but it went faster with four pumping! Several of my friends had one, but I can’t find any information about these now–even to confirm that “merry-go-round” is the proper name. Do you know what these were called, who made them, and if anything similar is still made? Thank you.
Open Question: Does Your Dog Ever Do This?

I have a problem with my puppy that needs cured.
He’s about 3 1/2 months old, and he’s a breed called a Blue Lacy.
In general, Blue Lacy’s are fairly vocal because their working purpose is a boar dog, so they “bay” boars by barking, both to scare the boar into going where they intend, and to alert pack-members where the boar is at.
The problem though, is my puppy barks at me “in defiance”…what i mean is, he’ll do something he knows he’s not suppose to, like biting something that’s not a toy (furniture, etc)….and i’ll say “NO”…and he’ll stop for a second, then do it again, and i’ll say “NO”…and then finally, he’ll get frustrated i’m not allowing him to, and BARK AT ME….almost like a spoiled kid mouthing off to parents.
He’s barking at me in frustration of me not letting him do things against the rules.
How do you stop that?

Hi everyone. I have a toy machine that is from National Geographic from about 3-4 years ago. It is a kids toy. Its a projector that you put slides in. The 3 slides are called Night Sky, Rain Forest, and Ocean. I lost all my slides but still have the machine. Please help me! This was a really nice gift from my mom and if I can order the slides online that would be great! Please provide a link! Thank you so much!
Hi again. Just note: it is grey and looks like a boombox. On top is where it projects it is a small clear dome. In the lower middle there is a blue button and behind one of the sides there is a volume adjuster. Remember, I DO NOT need the machine, I need the 3 slides. Thanks again!
Open Question: How do you know if there is a pedophile in your family? What would you look for?

Okay, this is embarassing but I rather be safe than sorry. I suspect my father of being a pedophile. He works as a school bus driver. He has a basement full of toys, however only 5 grandkids in total who dont visit or come around very often. I tried doing some research but theres no sure way of knowing. I have a 3yr old and a 20 month old. Im scared cuz its my own dad but i dont want to risk my kids & I hope Im not overreacting! He forces hugs & kisses on my kids and trys to get them alone. He nibbles on their ears with his tounge, I find it disgusting. He doesnt do it around my husband only me. My mother doesnt say anything either! What do you think? Seriously! I dont visit very often because of it.
Open Question: Our almost 3 year old can say he’s hungry, thirsty, wants more, ect, but can’t say when he has to poop! why?

Our son gets offended when he’s called a baby, or some one tells him he’s messy or bad, but don’t mind when he’s called stinky or is told he stinks. He knows what toys are his and which ones are his brothers. When we can’t find something of his and haven’t seen it in days he knows where he had it last. He says when he’s thirsty, hungry, wants more, when he’s hot, cold or something hurts. He brings his cup to you and says it’s empty and wants more. He’s a smart kid but he can’t just grasp telling us when he has to poop. What can we do? We’ve tried to make it fun, we’ve tried making him sit on the potty for a period of time after he dirties his pants, we’ve scolded him when he uses his pants and we’ve cheered when he has used the potty. He doesn’t even once in a while use the potty and go back and forth. He always goes in his pants. We have been fighting with him for a whole year. Our other children had it down in the matter of months. What can we do?
